NAMCO GAMES, A PERFECT FIT FOR THE BCA

NAMCO BCA Booth

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL - NAMCO America, the premier manufacturer of coin-operated amusements and the original manufacturer of classic arcade games, showed off their home arcade units at the Billiard Congress of America (BCA) Summit 2012 last week. The event was held at the Schaumburg Convention Center in Schaumburg, IL. Billiard retailers looking to expand their product lines found what they were looking for at the NAMCO booth. The game manufacturer showed both the cocktail and cabaret versions of their Pac-Man's Arcade Party home arcade cabinets along with Rockin' Bowl-O-Rama, a bowling video game with a '50s theme.

"Retailers come to this show looking for something new and exciting to offer their customers. The products that we're showing gives that retailer an additional item a customer is looking for to complete their home recreation room," said Tom Siemieniec, National Sales Manager of NAMCO America. Pac-Man's Arcade Party features 13 classic NAMCO games not found anywhere else together in a home arcade cabinet. The game list includes Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, and Dig Dug; which are found in the top ten list of almost every poll of the greatest arcade games of all time. "This is the perfect time for a retail location to have a Pac-Man's Arcade Party. The people that grew up playing these games are the ones that are now building their own home game rooms or man caves. They're not just buying games they played with as a child, they're bringing back all the memories associated with them," said Siemieniec.

Rockin' Bowl-O-Rama is a bowling video game that is played using a trackball. The '50s theme is not only noticeable in the cabinet construction but is also carried into the software with classic music and visual designs from that era. The game offers six different and fun play modes to choose from. Bowling ball weight as well as spin trajectories are all calculated in the physics engine that control the game to give it a realistic bowling experience.
